Kinesio Taping

Personalised services provided by our athlete services team.

Early Intervention

Being seen early can make the difference between an injury keeps on recurring and one that is nipped in the bud. Leaving things to develop without any advice or professional opinions can be costly for people, especially those who play sports.

Get to see the right person

All of our team members are briefed and understand that you must see the right person for your injury.  It makes no sense going to see a therapist who is not the best person for that injury.  We try and ensure you are working with the right team early on.

Teamwork

Our team is capable of interacting with our existing medical support staff and coaching them to ensure a continuity of care that is unparalleled.  Our technology allows us to communicate seamlessly with you and your current support team to get things sorted quickly.

How does Kinesio Taping work?

Sports injury tape is widely used by sport injuries experts as well as the world’s top athletes because it helps them heal more quickly as well as protecting muscles and joints during sports matches.

Kinesio taping can be used in a variety of circumstances to help improve recovery speed and improve fitness levels.  Application of kinesio tape can also help encourage lymphatic fluid movement away from areas of high pressure and towards working lymphnodes.

Kinesio taping can also help to aid muscle contraction or promote relaxation by affecting the stretch response of the muscles.

Which is the best sports injury tape?

Before Perfect Balance Clinic use or endorse any product, especially those that claim to promote healing, we trial them to ensure we use the best available.

Our findings were that Kinesio taping not only met our stringent requirements but exceeded our expectations, and now we are proud to have several practitioners that are trained to use Kinesio taping techniques for sports injuries and other minor injuries.  Kinesio taping is a unique system of taping designed for many different uses to help traumatised tissue.  Kinesio taping unlike other forms of taping allows your joints to move, which make it ideal for sports injuries.  Kinesio taping was designed in 1973 by Dr Kase.

Kinesio taping is used by the top sporting athletes in the world as an excellent adjunct to treatment.  No doubt you will see some athletes at this summers Olympic games.  Kinesio taping is used by Team GB, UK Olympic teams and most premiership football clubs.
