Where can I find a Private GP service?
Your Athlete Services membership grants you access to our diagnostic partners’ private GP service. Whether you are based in London or Hertfordshire we can normally get you an appointment within 24 hours. If an emergency arrives, we will use our extensive network of private GPs to access some of the top GPs in London and Hertfordshire.
The private GP service will help you with most issues; it doesn’t matter if it is a small, acute issue or a chronic one, the GP service and diagnostic team will work alongside us to get to the bottom of the problem.
The private GP service can help also when it comes to insurance companies and providing authorisation for investigations, scans and tests. This is all part of our service to our members.

As part of our extended team, we have created partnerships to ensure our athletes get back on track as soon as possible. Our private GP service partnerships mean that whether you are at home or away, you can speak to a private GP who will be able to give you advice within 24 hours. They will be able to perform much of the same services as your normal GP but the rapid response they are able to offer means you can be sure to get seen very quickly. The GP service allows for prescriptions and medical testing to be ordered, should you require this.

How do I book a Private GP appointment?
Booking a private GP appointment is straightforward; your Athlete Services manager will be able to help you do this very quickly. If you are unable to get an appointment, then we will arrange a telephone consultation for you with one of the GPs, to run through the details of your condition.
Being an athlete means that you will need a rapid response and diagnosis to avoid time off training. The private GP service is designed to fulfill this need and ensure our extended team are onboard with getting you back on track as soon as possible.

Membership privileges
If you are an athlete services team member you can receive significant discount on the costs of your X-rays as well as other diagnostic testing. If you book your appointment through your athlete services manager they will advise you on what your membership entitles you to. Please remember to state your name and your Athlete number when you arrange this.
