What is K Laser Therapy?

Laser therapy, as the name would suggest, uses lasers to treat a wide range of sports injuries. It is designed to reduce pain, increase circulation and improve healing time.

The treatment is entirely non-invasive and not at all painful. In fact, many patients won’t even feel a thing! The results of the treatment are undisputed; laser therapy has been scientifically proven to alleviate chronic muscle and tendon pain.

PB Athlete Services uses a class 4 laser which boasts more than 500 milliwatts of power. This means that a larger area can be treated in a much shorter time.

Do I Need Laser Therapy?

K laser therapy can have incredible results when applied to the right problem. This therapy has been proven to:

– Improve blood flow
– Encourage lymphatic drainage
– Provide effective pain relief
– Encourage speedy healing

If you are experiencing joint pain as a result of muscle strains or tears, then laser therapy could be exactly what you need.

Our trained specialists will require a consultation with you to be certain your injury requires laser therapy.

What conditions can Laser Therapy treat?

At PB Athlete Services, we have successfully used K laser therapy to treat:

– Carpal tunnel syndrome
– Muscle strains
– Shoulder and knee pain
– Foot ulcers
– Rheumatoid arthritis
– Osteoarthritis
– Repetitive strain injuries

What Happens During Laser Therapy?

During the treatment, the laser interacts with tissue cells to increase the metabolic activity within the cells. It increases ATP – or cellular energy – thereby boosting muscle recovery time.

Thanks to the laser, circulation is improved and swelling and inflammation is reduced.

Treatment sessions don’t take very long at all – around 10 minutes, depending on the size of the area that requires attention. You will already notice a significant improvement after the first session and most injuries will require around 6 treatments. Laser treatment is an excellent way of getting back on track and free of pain quickly.

How do I Book a Treatment?

Simply contact us and we will be able to arrange a suitable time to come in. Our London and Hertfordshire clinics are able to treat both members and non-members, so simply call us or fill out a contact form and we’ll be in touch as soon as possible.

Our specialists will evaluate your injury before deciding whether laser treatment is right for you. If laser treatment is not appropriate, a full history of your pains will be taken and a more suitable treatment will be recommended.
