Performance Pilates

Tailored and individualised programs for all sports.

Early Intervention

Being seen early can make the difference between an injury keeps on recurring and one that is nipped in the bud. Leaving things to develop without any advice or professional opinions can be costly for people, especially those who play sports.

Get to see the right person

All of our team members are briefed and understand that you must see the right person for your injury.  It makes no sense going to see a therapist who is not the best person for that injury.  We try and ensure you are working with the right team early on.

Teamwork

Our team is capable of interacting with our existing medical support staff and coaching them to ensure a continuity of care that is unparalleled.  Our technology allows us to communicate seamlessly with you and your current support team to get things sorted quickly.

What is performance pilates?

Our performance pilates classes are specifically designed for runners, in order to minimise the risk of injury faced by runners. This is done by focusing on the common areas of weakness and issues faced by runners.

These classes are suitable for all levels of runners but are especially beneficial for those who regularly run over 10k. Many choose performance pilates classes if they are looking to boost their performance, extend their running distance or have recurring injuries.

What does the class involve?

The class works on all areas of the body but especially targets those key areas that are involved in running. The exercises undertaken are aimed at:

  • hip flexors
  • leg abductor and adductor muscles
  • gluteals and postural muscles

Balance and co-ordination exercise are also included in every class in order to help the runner to work effectively on their feet.

Can I get 1:1 pilates instruction?

Yes, of course! By having your own personal pilates instructor, we can design a workout which is specific to your needs. Each 1:1 pilates session will be tailor-made to you and you can change the content of your sessions as you progress.

These sessions are ideal if you have an injury or are recovering from surgery. With 1:1 instruction, you can be 100% sure that you are getting the most out of every pilates session.
